[Listen At BIRP!] Unknown Mortal Orchestra is someone we’ve featured on the lists a couple times & has been getting quite a bit love from the blogs out there… However, he’s sticking true to his name, we don’t really know much about this guy. Apparently it’s a one man project from somewhere in Portland or the UK? Who knows… What I do know is that I’m loving this track I heard over at Transparent Blog & its been constantly playing over this way. It’s part of his new self titled EP that’s being released by the UK based label “The Sounds of Sweet Nothings”… They had this to say about the record “On this 7” EP are four songs (2 are new, 2 you may know) which we hope you will come to treasure as much as we do. However, don’t expect the man behind this release to step out of the shadows any time soon…” Give it a listen below & if you enjoy it as much as I do then head on over to bandcamp is give the rest a listen and purchase it for only ₤4. While I’m aware Okinawa Lifestyle aren’t exactly new on the scene, we’ve never featured them at BIRP, so I figured it was time. Their latest release “Lazy Friend You Move So Fast” was released this past summer and has been trickling through the interwebs ever since. I originally thought this avant-garde electro-funk duo were from Georgia, USA (the state) - they are actually from the country Georgia. Yes, that one, with the hard-to-pronounce city names. This new song Lions In Cages by Wolf Gang is a must listen. If you’re not familiar with this artist, I suggest you get acquainted, because I predict we’ll be hearing a lot about them in 2k11. Check out some of their music here, or just click on the photo. Your ears will thank you!
